Georgia O’Keeffe at the New York Botanical Garden

We ventured to the Bronx to view the Hawaiian blooms exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden.

Georgia O’Keeffe painted a series of modern tropical landscapes while she was in Hawaii, working on an ad commission by the Dole Pineapple Company.

Take a look at some of the work and the native blooms that inspired her work.

NYBG + CADILLAC: MEET THE MAKER

Ray Villafane talks making the switch from teaching to world-traveling pumpkin sculptor.

NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN'S YOUNG GARDEN CIRCLE + CADILLAC PRESENT AN EVENING WITH RAY VILLAFANE.

NYBG partnered with Arizona-based sculptor Ray Villafane for an excellent experiential walk through haunted woods. Villafane's spooky scarecrow sculptures came to life as we (bravely) wandered down the path from one sculpture to the next. Following the wooded adventure, Villafane (a former teacher) discussed his regret-free decision to leave teaching school children behind, and become a full-time sculptor.

Alexander Wang Ball Chain Pajama Pants and Abby Fur Sandals.

Mini wooden chairs, wearing Alexander Wang jacket, pants and sandals. Vintage earrings.
